Make a good mould design for double color mould

(2) Mould structure

1, male and female mould are located with Centre of Rotation for 180 degree, and both of them should be matched with each other.

2, it can increase production stability to carry out with robot.

3, there should be slider on female mould. We must ensure that the first formed product will not interfere with slider when female mould doesn’t close. We can also install forced clamping device when necessary. only clamps the mould firstly slider can return.

4, in order to clamping firstly as descriptions 3, we should install magnet switch ware but not plastic switch.

5, design the cavity for the second injection with a little clearance in fear of first-forming product being scratched by cavity. However we should consider the sealing position. Whether the plastics deform under high pressure during injection which leads excessive flash.

7, in order to stick the two plastics tightly, we should consider adhesiveness between them. There is special TPU (thermoplastic plastic) used on double injection. The more smooth mould surface is, the more tightly the stick.

8, if there are capital letters such as O, P, Q, A, B etc. and numbers such as 4, 6, 8, 9 etc. on design, we adopt the seesaw structure to feeding the closure of first injection for the second.
