Two color injection molding & over molding both are wide used in our daily lifes. 

Two color molding, for example in double color housewares, 
like two color cup, two color dishes, two color toothbrush, two color bowls, etc. 
And over molding for example baby products, like two color over molded stools, 
rubber material over injecting molded PP material, to protect baby kids slip. 


So what's the difference between double color molding & over molding? 

What should be paid attention to these two injection molding technology? 


Mould Advantage:
Double color molding, usually will need two same sets of mould. 
Fixed together onto the double color injection molding machine. 
Two types of thermoplastic resin in general are chosed same type, 
also two different resins for example PS & PP can be injected, detail should consider their characteristics. 

For two color mould making, mould design is the key. 
Wall thicknesses of two sets colored mould, and know-how about the bonding between different plastic materials.
Also some other technics necessary should be taken regarding the temperature control of molds also.
